Bolt Poppers 13ml
Bolt Poppers by PWD have become a staple in many gay, and now straight, households over the years. Made by the same guys that bring you Rush poppers, Ram, Hardware and many others, Bolt Poppers were first introduced in Hollywood of all places in 1977.
One of our other reviews had a bunch of media quotes due to it’s “attention” over the years. Bolt poppers has actually gotten similar treatment in the media, having articles and profiles in Hustler, TIME Magazine, London’s Daily Mirror as well as in the U.K. edition of Penthouse. This stuff was considered so potent in it’s early years that San Francisco artist, REX, created erotic posters featuring Heavy Duty Bolt, which later became collectors’ items.
So, since this one’s had a lasting run for over 25 years, figured we’d better take a whiff and report in. Well, first thing you notice is the very phallic symbol on the label of the screw and the nut. I’m sure they don’t mean anything by that, other than to convey strength or something, right? Ok. Upon popping the top and checking out the aroma, it’s actually quite strong and not super pleasant. Not that I hate the smell of the stuff, it’s just a bit more of a chemical smell than some of the others. I guess it makes up for it in the effect, which is really really good. These are very strong poppers and I wouldn’t recommend for a first timer. However, the duration is not as long as some of the higher rated poppers on our list, maybe 3-4 minutes on the highest end.
